This is the fifth year we have embarked on this online Pilates journey together as a community so whether you are new to Pilates or are joining me for the 5th year running, you are so welcome and this is our opportunity to draw the year to a close with some movement, mindfulness, self love, awareness and acceptance all through a daily Pilates practice. 

Starting from the 1st of December you will get a brand new routine each day for 24 days and this year the overall theme of our challenge is flow into strength. As always with this challenge, there’s a really lovely ebb and flow. 24 days seems like a long time to commit to a daily practice but some days we will be working strong, feeling sweaty and fiery while other days we will be more restorative, resting and stretching.

The routines will be varied, fun, challenging and creative, each day will get you excited to jump on your mat. This year we have core focused flows, routines using the small equipment like the ball, theraband and weights, mobility and meditations, posture focused classes, standing workouts and lots more including barre style flows with the incredible Amina Fisher who has joined us for 4 workouts as part of this challenge.  Every routine from myself and Amina is anchored in Pilates principles with modifications and opportunities to level up throughout. 

You will feel yourself progressing, learning, getting stronger, more mobile and hopefully but most importantly strengthening the relationship you have with yourself throughout these 24 days. 

This time of year and quite frankly a lot of the time, there are distractions, stresses and worries that can feel overwhelming and often our self care and personal practice gets put to the bottom of the list. I encourage you to put this short daily commitment of mat time, 10- 35 minutes a day, to the top of that list and notice the profound effect that can have on you and the world around you. 

I feel really grateful and honoured to get to hold this space for you and to be your Pilates teacher, I really do love and believe in Pilates and really love teaching you, and I can’t wait to be present with you and the LMP community during this journey. 

So lets have fun, mark your calendars, invite your friends, get ready for 24 DAYS OF PILATES 5.0! Starting 1st December 2024, all you have to do to sign up to the challenge is become a member of the Lottie Murphy Pilates virtual studio/app.
