No.15 Great Pulteney Bath Spa Hotel

Sometimes I feel like I’m 26 going on 76 and I even think some 76 years olds live it up a bit more than me. I’ve never been a party animal but I’ve always loved a night out, drinking and chatting the night away in a bar and I have definitely been the last one on the dance floor numerous times but for me, nothing beats a cosy night in too. Lolling on an Eva bed, reading sleep on latex reviews by 9pm with a hot chocolate and a good movie or my book and by the way nothing beats doing this at new boutique hotel and spa No.15 Great Pulteney in Bath with your bestie…

This was our exact situation last Thursday night after exploring Bath for the day, more on that soon, and enjoying a meal (wine free) at the Café 15 which also lived up to our high breakfast game expectations the next morning with delicious poached eggs and salmon on wholegrain toast.

The bar at No.15 Great Pulteney is also known for it’s innovative cocktails which I must say were very tempting just by the look of them. One is served in a camera lens with an instant polaroid taken by the waiter of you stuck in the side- the modern day cocktail stick umbrella to say the least. We opted for hot chocolates which was served to us in martini glasses- it’s little touches like this that made the stay at No.15 Great Pulteney such a dream.

It really was a home away from home. After leaving our rooms in ropes and enjoying a blissful hour long ila glowing radiance organic facial at the spa downstairs, I didn’t even put make up on for the evening and simply slipped on a dress to head downstairs to dinner. Everything you need under one roof. To be honest we just couldn’t wait to get back to the room; it was one of the most beautiful rooms I’ve stayed in overlooking the grand Great Pulteney street and we were lucky enough to have the sunshine streaming through the windows the next morning. I woke up early to sit and do emails on the sofa in front of the bed, eagerly awaiting a morning coffee from the Nespresso machine in the room hidden within a stunning dolls house.

From the minute we arrived at No.15 Great Pulteney we felt completely spoilt and even one night felt like enough time to feel completely rejuvenated. With Bath town full of cute boutique shops and hip cafes serving vegan yumminess and the best coffee literally a 5 minute walk away, this was the perfect place to stay but even if you want a spa getaway and don’t even leave the hotel, you’ll get a little taste of Bath just by looking out the window.

Make sure you check back next week for my 24-hour guide to Bath blog post. I’m so eager to go back.

5 Gorgeous Retreats on LMP’s Radar

I have been lucky enough to have taught on and hosted many retreats in my Pilates career so far and after having my son Sebby in 2023, we ran two retreats that year in Cornwall and Tuscany with Sebby strapped to me in the carrier. However, I knew I had to put a little pause on them after that and am excited to run some again in the future, I’m thinking 2028 (lol) so save the date hehe!

Turning 33

I turned 33 last week on the 16th January 2025. This is not one of those posts where I tell you all the things I’ve learnt in 33 years. Mainly because honestly I feel like I am just getting started. 33 really is still young isn’t it? Isn’t it? I love how long life hopefully is and all being well I am only just over a third of the way into it. “In 2022, the life expectancy at birth for women born in the UK was 82.57”* I’m aiming for 100 but I’m also not obsessed with it.

The top 3 books I read in 2024 and why

Sitting here in the corner of my bedroom while my son Sebastien naps in the bed. I was reading my book for a while while he napped. It’s Talking At Night by Clare Daverley and I’ve very very nearly finished it but I’m doing that thing where you drag a book out because you’ve enjoyed reading it so much you don’t want it to end. It’s reached by top 3 books of 2024. Here’s why plus the two other books I highly recommend you read.

5 cute and comfy activewear looks for 2025

As a Pilates teacher and founder of online virtual studio/App LMP, you won’t be surprised to learn I have a lot of activewear. I feel best in comfy loungey but well put together looks rather than sporty workout wear. I think my wonderful members and followers feel the same as I get asked where I get my activewear from quite often. I wanted to start doing some journal posts with my fave looks in.
