On Sunday, I held my third The Body event. 20 beautiful babes joined me at the cool urban space SIX3NINE in Covent Garden for a morning of Pilates, yummy food and chatting. I was grateful for the rainy morning as there’s nowhere I’d rather be on a gloomy Sunday morning then doing Pilates and my guests clearly felt the same as they arrived mats in hand ready to get moving!
The Body event involves an hour class taken by me which is all my favourite Pilates moves but I am also very influenced by my ballet background and yoga practice so the class incorporates some elements from these disciplines. It’s about making your body feel amazing as well as feeling some burning muscles along the way. I love targeting the abs and butt the best and then stretching the hamstrings and the spine out. I was so happy that everyone loved the class and I love that it inspires people to do more Pilates. My aim is to make people fall in love with Pilates and their bodies.
After the class, we enjoyed a brunch of the yummiest granola from Dust Granola by the gorgeous Sophie Gordon and juices from Lab Organic. I’d also spent the Saturday before baking healthy treats for everyone including Lemon and Pistachio Cupcakes, my Tahini, Peanut and Cacao Nib Cookies and Coconut Bliss Balls. Everyone seriously loved the Coconut Bliss Balls so I thought I’d include the recipe in this post which was actually inspired by Colette at Optimum Living Retreats.
Coconut Bliss Balls
1 cup Desiccated Coconut
1 tbsp Maple Syrup
2 tbsp Coconut Oil
1/2 cup Ground Almonds
Chia Seeds for rolling
Blend all the ingredients except the chia seeds until thoroughly combined. Roll into about 12 small balls and roll in chia seeds for an extra protein and energy boost. Keep them in the fridge.
The best part is chatting with my gorgeous guests after the class. I love bringing like minded people together and making new fabulous friends who like coyo yogurt as much as me!
It was then time to wave goodbye to everyone holding onto their goody bags that I always get so excited about. In the goody bags this time, I was grateful to have some great brands that I love on board. Each guest got 1 box of Clipper Tea, 1 sample size of Neals Yard Beauty Balm, 1 pair of ToeSox, 1 bar of Raw Halo Chocolate and 1 bag of Dust Granola.
I can’t wait to do it all over again!
I wanted to share one of the moves from The Body event on my youtube channel this week too. This combo targets your abs from loads of angles and gives you lovely long legs too. Give it a go here.
My next event is a Pilates and Processo event on Thursday 23rd July in collaboration with Secret Urban Escapes. It’s in a cool east London film set location and Chelsea of Well and Happy will be providing light finger food after the event. Get your tickets here.
I will be releasing more dates for The Body very soon so make sure you are signed up to my newsletter to get the latest updates! See sign up box below.
Have fun with you bod, being a babe and eating those bliss balls!!
