Super Simple Homemade Muesli

homemade muesli lottie murphy

I love love muesli for breakfast or topped on yogurt for a healthy snack and this homemade muesli is delicious and filling. It’s so simple but so much healthier than the shop bought versions which usually contain added sugar or oils. With this homemade version you know exactly what is going in it and it’s only good stuff. It’s so quick to make and will keep up to 30 days in an airtight contain so no excuses for a healthy breakfast…

Turmeric Cabbage Scramble

I have recently become more aware of the amount of hidden sugar in things I eat especially in my go to snacks! I love to snack on nakd bars, dried fruit and nuts, dark chocolate, oatcakes with honey, bananas, carrots and hummus and all these snacks are actually quite high in sugar. Yes they are healthy snacks and the sugar is natural sugar but it all adds up and I wanted to find some less sugary snacks! I created this Turmeric Cabbage Scramble. Turmeric is the most anti-inflammatory spice and adds a lovely flavour to this simple green high protein snack. This is a nutritious snack you can make at home in 10 minutes or even turn it into a meal by adding some rye bread and avocado!

Raw Christmas Pudding Balls

It’s less than two weeks till Christmas now and there’s starting to get that feeling in the air! Don’t you just love that Christmas air feeling everywhere! I was asked recently to create a “fitmas” recipe and it got me being creative in the kitchen and these babies were born. It is tricky to put healthy and christmas in the same sentence but I think I managed to get it right with these little snacks. They basically incorporate all the delicious healthy ingredients of a christmas pudding but without the added refined sugar, flour, bad fats and alcohol. They are raw, gluten free and dairy free and have the tasty tangy fruitiness of a naughty treat, you can enjoy these completely guilt free my lovely christmas elves.  The Raw Christmas Pudding Ball is probably one of my favourite recipes I’ve created and I hope you will think so to 😉

My Healthy Cereal- Video

I know everyone loves cereal but shop bought versions are full of sugar and preservatives. I am such a fan of cereal though and when I discovered the truth behind the clever marketing of “healthy” cereals, my world came crashing down! I had to find a way to still eat cereal so I now have my own healthy home made version that I enjoy with almond milk, yogurt or berries. The perfect breakfast or naughty late night snack hehe! See my video on how to make it and I’d love it if you’d subscribe to my youtube channel.

Cosy Curry Nights are the BEST Nights

I love girly evenings in and I am the master of them! I love being the hostess and my house has hosted many a girly sleepover in its time! I think it’s important to always make time for your besties and we don’t have to go out to have a good time. Just being in each others company is important as we completely off load our troubles, have a moan, have a giggle, have a gossip, debate, dig deep and discover new things (last week we thought we’d try to read each other auras in my garden!)

Our weekly gatherings are usually at my house but last Friday we went to Emily’s (who was cat sitting) and she (Emily not the cat) cooked us an amazingly detoxing vegetable thai curry and scrummy cacao dessert! I’ve asked Emily’s permission to post the recipe for the curry on here as it was so delicious and literally made us all feel very cleansed! It shows you can have a girly curry night in your PJs and be healthy AND without breaking the bank!!
