How To Make Healthy Breakfast Pancakes | VIDEO

I love changing up what I have for breakfast and I think it’s really important to have some variety but to also figure out what makes you feel great in the morning and sets you up for a fab day. Play around for a week with having a different breakfast every day and take note of how you feel after and throughout the day. One day have porridge, the next day have smoked salmon and avocado and then a green juice and then give my healthy breakfast pancakes a go!

These pancakes are one of my favourite things to have for breakfast. They are so yummy, fluffy and nutritious. The combo of natural sugars from banana, slow releasing carbs from the oats and filling protein from the egg make this a great balanced breakfast option for a busy day ahead!

1 egg
1 ripe banana
35g porridge oats
Some coconut oil to cook

Mash your banana in a bowl, add in the oats and crack the egg in the mixture. Mix it all through. Heat some coconut oil in a pan then pour your pancake mixture in, make sure the outside is set before flipping it over and heating on the other side for another minute. Then top with your favourite toppings, I love greek yogurt, cinnamon and berries!

Raw Christmas Pudding Balls

It’s less than two weeks till Christmas now and there’s starting to get that feeling in the air! Don’t you just love that Christmas air feeling everywhere! I was asked recently to create a “fitmas” recipe and it got me being creative in the kitchen and these babies were born. It is tricky to put healthy and christmas in the same sentence but I think I managed to get it right with these little snacks. They basically incorporate all the delicious healthy ingredients of a christmas pudding but without the added refined sugar, flour, bad fats and alcohol. They are raw, gluten free and dairy free and have the tasty tangy fruitiness of a naughty treat, you can enjoy these completely guilt free my lovely christmas elves.  The Raw Christmas Pudding Ball is probably one of my favourite recipes I’ve created and I hope you will think so to 😉



1 cup raisins

1 cup walnuts

2 tablespoons flaxseeds

1 tablespoon maple syrup

1 tablespoon tahini

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp nutmeg

1 tsp vanilla essence

Pinch pink himalayan salt

1 cm grated fresh ginger

Juice and flesh of half fresh orange

Raw cacao for rolling

3 Moves For A Perfect Booty feat Swiss Ball

We all want a perky round Kylie bottom right but there’s also loads of other benefits to working that booty. Our glutes are the bum muscles and need to be active and toned! In Pilates we work the glutes a lot for many benefits like improving core strength, preventing back pain, preventing injuries in activities like cycling, running, walking etc. I’ve recently loved using the swiss ball for my bum exercises so I show you how to use one in this video of my 3 Moves For A Perfect Booty but you can also do all the exercises without a swiss ball using the wall/window sill so go for it bootifuls!

I’ve been party dress shopping recently for Christmas events and love trying on lots of different styles. It’s nice to focus on what parts of your body you love and consider them when choosing a dress shape. I think the key areas to focus on showing off in winter dresses is legs, bum, shoulders and back. The belly can wait for summer! 😉 With party season in mind I decided to do a workout focusing on these areas! The workout is only 5 minutes long because I know we are always tight for time, especially this time of year, so you can do it once, twice or three times depending on how much time you have. I love doing a little workout in my bedroom before getting in the bath to get ready to go out. Maybe make this part of your getting ready routine!

3 Unique Ways To Avoid The Winter Blues

I’ve really noticed this year that the change in weather and shorter days has started to effect my energy and mood. I’ve been feeling a lot more lethargic and irritable since the temperature has dropped and it now gets dark at 5pm! I don’t know about you but I can’t remember the last time I was at home in my PJs at 5pm, but I’m normally out and about wishing I was! This is due to the fact that daylight tells your body when you should be awake and asleep so technically at 5pm we should all be wrapped up with hot cocoa! It always means when our alarm goes off at 6am and it’s still pitch black outside, we feel groggy! I hate groggy! Winter is time people, including myself, find it harder to exercise, eat healthily and be proactive but giving in to these Winter blues and unhealthy habits will only make you more down and stressed.

The lead up to Christmas, New Year and my birthday in January makes this time of year my favourite time of year so I wanted to look into ways to avoid these Winter blues. I researched and then came up with my own 3 goals that I’m going to try to do to boost my mood and energy during the winter months. If you’re like me and don’t like being groggy then give them a go too!

Why We Are Moving From A Dream Home After Just 9 Months

If you’ve followed my blog for a while then you’ll know that back in February, my boyfriend and I moved in together and bought our lovely little nest. You can read my post “I’ve Flown The Nest” to see my feelings towards it then.

I thought I was someone who as long as I had a roof over my head and a cosy bed would be content. And don’t get me wrong I am so so grateful for the fact I have this but I’ve realised that your home environment and features about your home are so important for your overall happiness, wellbeing and relationship.

Our home would be a dream for many people. It’s in a lovely road, has gorgeous unique features, tons of storage, 3 bedrooms, a gorgeous kitchen, dining room and lounge and a good sized garden in the sun but we are moving! Why? Because we don’t like it! So there is a little bit more to it than that which I will explain later in the post but I’ve realised something that I’m so grateful for which is that both Jamie and I are very in tune with our feelings and sense of wellbeing and I know he might hate me for saying that but it’s true. We aren’t scared to say what is bothering us and then do something about it. We aren’t sit around and wait things out people we are DO it and CHANGE it people if things aren’t working. Which is why after only 9 months, our house is back on the market…

The Super Healthy ‘Wagamamas’

Any recipe with a ‘the’ before it in my food section means it’s a big deal! I don’t eat takeaway food because I genuinely don’t like it but I do really love Wagamamas. I always get the Yasai Yaki Soba when I go and as much as I enjoy those 20 minutes eating it, I do not enjoy the stodgy bloated dry mouthy Lottie that occurs quite soon afterwards. Restaurants add so much salt to there foods and I can really taste the amount of salt added to dishes and sauces now. With anything home cooked, you are in control of how much salt and oil you add which makes such a difference. There really is no need to go crazy on salt. I made this dish last weekend and it really reminded me of a combination of the dishes I enjoy at Wagamamas and in my opinion it tastes soooo much better. It also didn’t leave me feeling stodgy at all and I ate A LOT. This is the perfect weekend night cosy TV meal, it honestly doesn’t take long either, probably quicker then you ordering and waiting for a takeaway. I hope you try this and enjoy it and do give me your opinion on whether you think it’s better than the real deal!

Top 5 Pilates Moves for Spinners/Cyclists: SPORTS SERIES


I am a true believer that we should do lots of different styles of training and not just stick to the one type. Don’t put yourself in yoga box, runner box, spin class box, try to do 2-3 different ways of working out each week, lest that you end up at a Physical Evidence Chiropractic. As I do lots of yoga and Pilates, I’ve recently started doing some spin classes at Psycle London which you can read more about HERE.

I notice whenever joining a new fitness club, gym, class that there are people that literally go every single day! I’ve read on that there’s crazy folk out there that go to Barry’s Bootcamp twice a day sometimes! I don’t think it’s healthy to overtrain but understand that if you find something you love then you just want to do that and only that. So I’ve decided to do a little series with 5 best Pilates moves to incorporate if you are doing a certain type of training A LOT and don’t have time to get to a Pilates class too. This week with my own training in mind, I’m focusing on spinners/cyclists!

There are certain imbalances and weaknesses that cyclists can be prone to and a little bit of Pilates will be a great addition to your exercise regime to stop any set backs injury wise. Here’s my best 5 Pilates exercises for cyclists you can do after your session or at home to make you feel even more fabulous!

Say BOO To Fear

Happy Halloween week! I’m sure Halloween has crept up this year like a sneaky scary spider. With the theme of Halloween in mind, my post today is about FEAR! Dun dun dunnnn!

However, I am not talking about the Halloween kind of fear of ghosts and witches and wizards, actually wizards are quite kind aren’t they? I’m talking about the fear of achieving your hopes and dreams. Yes, you may think but why would I fear that? The truth is many of us aren’t going after what we really want in life because of a fear of failure and even a fear of success. Success is scary, it may mean pressure, it may mean attention, it may mean more hard work but it may also might mean you being the happiest and most honest version of yourself too!

Negative thoughts and a fear of the future is what holds us back. I’m not saying we must ignore fear but acknowledge whether self doubt and fear is stopping you from taking a step towards a hope or dream you have. I’m always fearing something but I try to just say BOO to fear and doing it anyway! I promise it won’t be as bad as you think, it could even be great! Whether it’s starting a new hobby, leaving your job, talking to boy in a bar or standing at the front in your gym class- do something that scares you this week! It is Halloween after all!

In My Kitchen Cupboard

The cupboards in my kitchen are probably filled a little different to the rest of the kitchens in my street. There’s always nuts, seeds, different oils, different flours and grains, then there’s my jars (oh I do love a jar) normally filled with chia seeds, desiccated coconut and a home-made granola but venture a little deeper in my kitchen and there’s the lotions and potions and magic powders that turn you into a magical positive glowing healthy fairy! No I’m kidding! But I’m talking about superfoods, supplements, probiotics and the latest healthy product to launch and claim to change your life.


I don’t think you should buy into every healthy product out there and spend your millions especially if you’re like me and can’t even pronounce half of them but being someone in the health industry and who lives in a little bubble of whole foods and Pilates and happy people, I do like to experiment with different supplements and powders. We are all so unique and what might make me feel like a hundred bucks and glow with energy could have no effect on someone else which is why it does take experiment and the skill of listening to your body to see what works for you. Don’t just read this or any health magazine and believe that a green powder or whatever is going make your immune system unbeatable because really healthy living comes down to eating a balanced unprocessed diet, exercise, drinking water and being happy in yourself.
