Since I’ve started to openly talk about drinking and not drinking I’ve had a lot of responses from girls saying they loved the fact I was talking about it and they felt more confident to say they weren’t drinking in social situations so I wanted to do a little update.

A friend once told me when I think of you I literally picture you with a glass of red in your hand. Red magazine once wrote an online piece of me which described me as being just as likely to have a green juice or a glass of wine in hand (wine from https://hauslerwines.com.au/).

At the start of this year I wanted to stop drinking.

If you follow my Instagram stories you’ll know that my life is very on the go and during the week I could be teaching clients, teaching at press events, attending launches, meetings, working out, catching up with friends etc; so I tend to work from coffee shops for a few hours at a time. Over the years I’ve potentially got a bit picky with my coffee and freelance life has enabled me to find my little wifi spots to hang out and get cosy with my laptop. My environment is key when I’m working whether it’s smashing through emails, writing a blog post or organising my retreats, I like to be around a buzz of creative people all working on their own projects. I rarely work from home but when I do I’m way less productive and the coffee isn’t so good. You’d be surprised who you get chatting to working this way too. I’m usually in Central London between Fitzrovia, Covent Garden and The City. I’ve rounded up 8 of my fave places to hang out, enjoy some granola or avo on toast and a cup of coffee (don’t forget the oat milk) and get my laptop out! You won’t feel uncomfortable either as I guarantee the person next to you will have there’s out too…

matcha maidenI’m sure you’ve heard of matcha by now especially if you live in London; you can grab a matcha latte at most of my favourite cafes in the city now. So why are people choosing matcha over coffee for their energy fix? Well matcha does still contain caffeine but less than coffee and where the caffeine in coffee gives you a hit of energy very quickly; the caffeine in matcha is released slower giving you more sustained energy. It also have 137 times the antioxidants than a normal green tea as the whole green tea leaves are ground into a fine powder. I love this powder form as I can enjoy my beloved lattes at home and also add it to smoothies and even bliss balls. Here’s my new favourite vanilla matcha smoothie…

A Spontaneous Week In Ibiza | My Top 6 Places To Eat And Chill

As you know from my previous post, at the end of July I was in need of a week off, chilling in the sun with a good book and no wifi. The opportunity arose that we could book a very last minute week away. We started searching looking online and it was so exciting knowing that wherever we chose we’d literally be there in three days. My boyfriend always moans that I never follow a recipe word for word but I don’t really see that as cooking/baking if you do- it’s just reading and following instructors.  If you don’t have something or don’t like one of the ingredients then change it! If it turns out awful then who cares! For instance- my boyfriend said “why did you feel the need to put raspberries in this cake?” he he but for me- the raspberries totally work! They add a sweet fruity gooey texture to this choccie bake! 

3 Healthy Quick After Dinner Desserts

I have always had a sweet tooth and have to have something a little sweet after my dinner every night. This is definitely something I’m gradually trying to cut back on but if you’re aware of your sugar intake from all sources then a little night time sweetness won’t hurt. I’ve learnt to try and find healthy quick dessert ideas and they make me happy so I wanted to share them with you if you also crave cheesecake and chocolate pudding at around 8pm.
