With more and more of us making fitness a huge part of our lives, I’m finding that most of my catch-ups with friends now include not only food but the all important new gym class or workout too. The last few catch ups I’ve had in fact have been trying a new boxing class with my bestie, taking my sis in law to her first Psycle class for moral support and getting through a F45 class with a new blogger babe…
So without having to lug around two outfits all day, I feel I’ve discovered some essentials to the studio to street look in my years of London Pilates instructor/blogger life that I wanted to share with you and you don’t have to spend a month’s salary on these pieces because I took myself on a little solo adventure to Bicester village to update my Spring looks.
I’m all about finding a good bargain that feels and looks expensive and will see be through the season if not 10. I keep most my looks simple as I’m not really into fashion but still don’t like to look like I’m wearing a print that was so last year. I think that’s important when shopping at any outlet although I was pleasantly surprised at Bicester to find cuts of jeans in Levi’s which are in style at the moment, it’s not about the skinnies anymore apparently.
With a studio to street look, I like to only need to swap one thing so whether that’s the sports vest for a cute tee or leggings for jeans; all you need then is a cool jacket, some great pumps, your sunnies and you’re set. Top tip: opt for a yoga or Pilates class for your catch up then you don’t even need to pack extra running trainers too!
I love these studios to street essentials to feel put together and invincible after a workout rather than a sloppy mess sitting in a cute coffee shop ordering a turmeric latte. Sometimes I’m the latter no matter what but a girl’s gotta train and get her latte (eye roll emoji.)
The Studio To Street Spring Essentials:
The Lululemon Leggings: because when you’re walking around London in leggings, you’ve got to be supported in every way and Lulu always has your back or should I say booty.
The Plain Tee: a black tee that can be tied up for at the waist for class and a spring day when it’s appropriate to expose midriff.
The Roll Neck: a throw over the top of a sports bra and you’ll never know kind of look perfect for a chilly studio or even post Pilates cocktails- because that’s absolutely a thing!
The Denim Jacket: dark fitted denim to throw over active wear or even dare to double denim it.
The Levis: something tight enough to show off your hard work at the gym but with a touch of style with a flair, a frayed finish or some embroidery.
The Pumps: simple and comfy with a touch of colour to match any outfit.
All of my looks where found at Bicester Village because yes they now have a Lululemon and a New Balance which I’ll be raiding next time. Remember that you’re personality is the most important thing to look good and after a workout you’ll be sparkly anyway so own the fact you’ve got moving with a bestie and treat yourself to cake at the café.
Love, Lottie x
