I am very excited to announce the date of my next The Body event is Sunday 3rd April. It’s the weekend after Easter so will be just what you need after indulging in your choccies. Last year, my The Body events were such special wonderful days. They are a way of being able to get a group of my lovely followers together to enjoy Pilates, relaxation and delicious healthy food. I wanted to do this blog post to tell you what to expect if you are a little unsure or new to events/Pilates…
You’ll arrive at Light Centre Moorgate on a hopefully sunny Sunday in April with a spring in your step. The class starts at 10:30am so hopefully that’s enough of a lay in for you. The Light Centre is a lovely peaceful space that lots of people are surprised even exists in the concrete jungle that is Moorgate. You’ll instantly feel more zen as you walk into the bright studio.
The Body is a Pilates masterclass designed by me to make you feel amazing in your body and mind. I will take you through an hour class involving lots of toning, stretching and posture work. I am inspired by my dance background and yoga practice so elements of these disciplines are sprinkled throughout the Pilates workout. I hope it will be unlike any other Pilates class you’ve done before and you’ll be inspired to take some moves away into your weekly workouts.
The class will then be followed by a short relaxation session. Regularly doing small things for yourself will uplift your mood so don’t feel guilty for taking 10 minutes extra on your mat to switch off from every day stresses. I’ll help guide you into a relaxed state so don’t worry if you struggle with switching that mind off. We are all guilty of too much technology and too much on our to do lists so this part of the event may be the most beneficial to you.
It’s then time for a light healthy brunch including the tastiest bircher made by Ariana of LiEBES. LiEBES Bircher inspired muesli is wheat, dairy, gluten, refined sugar and sweeteners free. Home and handmade- LiEBES is filling and nourishing yet great tasting too. A loyal The Body attendee and lovely friend Faye Saunders will also be back making her much loved muffins! Her blog is Misc Muffins if you want a sneak peak and get those taste buds going! I also attempt making something yummy and healthy for us but I sometimes burn them or they get swished in my bag so you’ll be guaranteed goodness from Ariana and Faye!
We will enjoy our well deserved brunch and chat all things healthy and happy! You’ll leave with a bag full of our favourite goodies too! In previous goody bags we’ve hand some amazing brands such as Sweaty Betty, Ren Skincare, Meridian Nut Butter, Neals Yard Remedies, Clipper Tea and much more. The whole event is very relaxed and friendly, lots of past attendees have stayed in touch and I’ve seen them doing class and going for healthy brunches together which is so lovely.

Please note, the class is challenging but modifications will be given and it’s about having fun and listening to your body so don’t worry if you struggle with some exercises. Just take a break, breathe and ask me if you have any questions.
