I am a girl all about balance! It’s what I promote and try to enforce when anyone asks me health/life related advice.
We can often tip the scales too far in one direction and this is when disaster strikes and the world around us falls apart. Okay maybe that was a slight exaggeration but in my experience things always go wrong if I do too much or too little of one thing.
If I have a day of eating unhealthy crap food then I feel crap but then if I restrict myself diet wise I also feel miserable. On a night out if I drink too much I feel out of control and awful the next day but if I don’t drink at all I feel like I’m missing out and not letting my hair down. If I have a day off and do nothing then I feel empty and lost but if I pack my day out 24/7, I feel rushed, frantic and stressed. Can you relate? This can be applied to almost all areas of life- sleep, exercise, relationships, social media, money…
Balance is what we need. See your life as a whole, a lifestyle! Hense ‘lifestylewithlottie’! I’m not saying do it my way but do it your way! Lifestylewith(feel in the blank). Always put things into perspective and I’m pretty certain this is what brings long term happiness.
Don’t stress if you eat a cookie, just don’t eat the whole pack! 😉
