I’m the biggest believer in a good skin and hair care routine as well as all things under the self care umbrella. Self care shouldn’t be seen as a selfish indulgent experience, it’s essential to your wellbeing and happiness. Each month, I’ll be sharing my self care favourites from skincare, haircare, books, podcasts, candles, blankets, walks, studios; whatever I’ve been loving that month to take care of myself. When I feel good I’m able to be the best friend, daughter, sister, teacher, writer, adventurer, whatever it is I’m being. So let’s see what’s been helping me feel sparkly this month…

There’s something magical about the frost outside the windows, the bite in the wind and the wrapping up in a hundred layers! Yes it’s magical for about week and then I’m done. Don’t even get me started on snow, I’ve had my 10 minute snow storm for the year thanks very much. Please stay away! I do try to be positive but I just love the sun and feeling warm and I find it really hard to stay positive when my hands have frostbite, my umbrella has curled up like a dead spider and I’m constantly trying to find the most natural fake tan that makes me look like I’ve been on a winter break to the Maldives. If anyone wants to solve this problem and whisk me there then hi!

I of course love to get in the kitchen this time of year. I’m going to my aunties this Christmas and I thought it would be nice to bring something to add to the table. I usually make desserts but this year I’m taking a nut roast. I haven’t eaten meat in a while and to be honest it’s all the trimmings that are the best bit about a roast in my opinion. So I’ve been experimenting with a nut roast recipe and have mastered it with this delicious version.
