Comforting Chocolate Porridge

chocolate porridge blog post 2

I feel like I haven’t done a recipe post in ages! If you follow me on Instagram you may know that I needed some comforting this week. I got back from teaching on the Neals Yard Remedies Portugal retreat on Saturday and after being through the door for 15 minutes, I caught my hand on fire from using a hot pan and oil on the hob. I got a bit worked up and panicky of course and went to a&e where they treated me and I now am fashioning a lovely bandaged right hand. Comforting chocolate porridge was needed this morning…

My Week With A Riverford Recipe Box

Sweetcorn chowder

Did know it’s organic September and for me it’s also a very busy September so it seemed there was no better time to try out a Riverford Organic Recipe Box. Now as much as I love creating new recipes and spending time experimenting in the kitchen, sometimes it’s just hassle free and easy to follow a recipe and to be given the exact ingredients I need for that recipe is just another weight off my busy shoulders. Thank you Riverford Recipe Box…

The Body Event and The Best Muffin Recipe EVER!

The Body post 4_Fotor

Sunday was my fourth The Body event and I can honestly say they have been the best mornings of my year. The Body event is a Sunday morning to boost your body, mind and soul and this September one felt more needed than ever, for me and for my beautiful guests. The group was smaller this time and I felt a overwhelming sense of sisterhood in the Covent Garden hidden gem SIX3NINE which has been the location for the event so far.

What I Eat In A Day – Healthy And Sustainable

what i eat vlog

I filmed a little What I Eat In A Day video, as I know one of the hardest things people find when it comes to healthy eating is recipe ideas and also they struggle on days when you need meals to be quick and hassle free. I would always tend to grab a nakd bar, some dark chocolate or piece of fruit if I wanted a quick snack but these snacks can really build your sugar levels

Ultimate Green Smoothie

Sometimes I just crave green smoothies! They really make me feel like I’m glowing from the inside out. I’ve been starting my day recently with the what I would call ultimate green smoothie. If you are a newbie to drinking anything green then try this and I promise you will love it.

This Week Eat Turmeric

power pancakes

When we think of super foods, it’s normally spirulina and cacao that come to mind but there’s so many superfoods that are likely to be in your kitchen cupboard already and turmeric is one of them. Turmeric is often used in curries and mustard as it has that fabulous golden orange colour but I don’t typically have a curry every day surprisingly so I wanted to start adding it to recipes

Gluten Free Carrot Cake

4

You honestly won’t notice the difference between this delicious gluten free healthy carrot cake to your standard shop bought sugar laden carrot cake. I have such a sweet tooth and this certainly satisfied it even though it only contains coconut palm sugar as the sweetner which is a great alternative to normal sugar as it has a lower glycemic index so won’t make your blood sugar spike.
