Be Ballet Beautiful _FotorI’m loving the ballet inspired activewear out there at the moment as this is the exact look I go for when wanting to workout. My workout vibe is grace and elegance when it comes to Pilates and yoga and having suitable activewear really motivates me. I rounded up 5 of my favourite ballet beautiful inspired pieces. Some of these super chic pieces I’d even wear to a lunch with friends so they are perfect for on the go girls. 

Get Yourself A Backpack Baby

This is the first year I’ve had a backpack since I was about 6 and I love it. Backpacks are so fun and I’ve been loving the benefits, especially having free hands to swing around. I have to carry around so much with me and my shoulders and neck were really starting to get tense towards the end of last year. With a backpack the weight is evenly distributed across the body and the strongest muscles in the body, the abdominals and the back support the backpack. Just be aware that you are not leaning forwards to counteract the weight of the pack as this can lead to posture problems!  My nice handbags were also getting ruined from being carried around all day and I also fill them up with healthy snacks so I thought right new year, new me, new backpack!

I love adding a bit of colour with accessories and bags as I’m not so daring with the colours I wear so I bought this New Balance Red Check one and I love it! In my latest video I show you it in more detail and all the things I carry in it! I thought it might be interesting to see what a Pilates instructor and healthy lifestyle blogger carries with her day to day and you might be surprised by a few unusual items. The BEST Lower Ab Exercises

If you are like me at all and have indulged a little much over the last couple of weeks then it’s time to get back on it! I used to think that abs were only made in the kitchen and still believe that diet is a major factor to consider when wanting a flat tummy but I’ve recently been loving and seeing benefits from doing ab routines. I’ve realised that they really do make a difference and when done correctly certainly work up a sweat too and also really help with digestion! If I’ve not managed to get a workout in, then a 5 minute ab routine makes me feel great, positive and flatter!

We all want a perky round Kylie bottom right but there’s also loads of other benefits to working that booty. Our glutes are the bum muscles and need to be active and toned! In Pilates we work the glutes a lot for many benefits like improving core strength, preventing back pain, preventing injuries in activities like cycling, running, walking etc. I’ve recently loved using the swiss ball for my bum exercises so I show you how to use one in this video of my 3 Moves For A Perfect Booty but you can also do all the exercises without a swiss ball using the wall/window sill so go for it bootifuls!
