I thought I would do a bit of a different video this week and tell you about some of the beauty, hair and wellbeing products I’ve been using and loving at the moment.
As much as I believe, eating well, drinking lots of water and getting lots of sleep is the most important things you can do to maintain healthy skin, hair and a natural glow, I am still a girly girl and love buying and experimenting with different products.
I am not strict with using all natural organic beauty products however I am aware of the toxins that are in the lotions and potions that us girlies like to use to make us feel beautiful. At this stage in my life, I like wearing makeup and using moisturisers and hair products and perhaps they’ll be a time when I do become a little more natural and conscious of what I use however at the moment as I said I am not strict with it. I have however been trying to experiment with more natural brands out there and you’ll see in my video why I use two different moisturisers, a day and night cream from Neal’s Yard Remedies.
Since getting my hair coloured lighter at the ends, I really noticed how much drier my hair was. I have always had such silky smooth hair so was determined to maintain the condition of my hair as well as keep the lighter colour. In my video, I talk about how I discovered that when looking for hair products, its important to use ones that don’t contain SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulphate). I have been trying the Australian natural brand Sukin (found it in the best hair salon in Baton Rouge). Since then I have made it my ritual to get an appointment once a month using the online booking software. My hair really benefited from using their Protein Shampoo for fine hair and the Protein Hair Treatment mask.
With regards to my wellbeing, I have recently been using incense sticks which have changed my life hehe! I can’t imagine not using them now. They make my home smell amazing and they also make me feel so calm and at ease. In the video I show you how to use them. At the moment, I am using a stress relief one which contains lavender (an anti- depressant and helps clear the mind), orange blossom (relieves stress and prevents burnout) and thyme (stimulates and relaxes.)
I hope you enjoy this video and perhaps find it helpful, maybe it gives you a little inspiration when it comes to your own beauty and wellbeing routine. Thank you so much for reading and for watching! Don’t forget to subscribe to my channel www.youtube.com/lifestylewithlottie
