Want to find out Electra Formosa’s favourite places to eat, things to cook and how she keeps her skin so gorgeous? Keep reading…
I’ve followed Electra on social media and watched her beauty and fashion Youtube videos for a while. We met at a healthy lifestyle event last month where we took a yoga class and talked juice cleanses and LA dreams, I wasn’t surprised that she is as glowing, happy and positive in person as she is online.
Electra is in the fashion and TV industry but is also passionate about healthy living and lives a beautiful balanced life along side busy London Fashion Weeks, presenting for Disney and styling in LA. I was sure Electra would have some great tips to share with us so read her inspiring interview below to find out a little more…
Firstly, tell us a little bit about yourself?
I am 25 years old, from London and am TV Host and Style Expert working between London and LA.
Talk us through your morning routine?
I like to workout in the morning when I can. I usually start the day with some hot water and lemon, before I workout I like to have a small black coffee with a teaspoon of coconut oil. Then post workout I make quinoa porridge, with almond milk, maca, blueberries and chia seeds.
What’s your top secret for gorgeous skin?
I have cleansed, toned and moisturised from the age of 8! I am a huge fan of Liz Earle, especially the cleanse and polish, I have pretty sensitive skin so it’s great for me 🙂 I also love her eye brightening cream.
You must be super busy around fashion week time, any top health tips you’ve learnt from working in the fashion industry that help you cope on a busy schedule?
I am a fan of eating a big breakfast to set myself up for the day. I am always running around so I need lots of energy, I have some healthy protein snacks I always go to like the LoveRAW bars, they have great natural ingredients. I do I often reach for a coffee though!
What’s your signature style?
My style I would describe as chic but with a bit of an edge. I like to play with fashion and change it up all the time.
Where’s your favourite place to go for dinner in London?
I am vegetarian, so I love checking out any new veggie or vegan places. I also love sushi and dim sum, my favourite place would probably be Yautcha in soho.
What are you inspired by and do you have a personal mantra?
So many things inspire me, I like to keep my creative juices going by reading lots of magazines, going to exhibitions and I have also recently got into meditating daily, there is a great app called Headspace that I use all the time! I am also currently writing a “DailyGreatness” Journal which really keeps me focused.
What’s your favourite way to workout?
I workout at a great gym called Target Human Performance. They have just started a class that I love hot boxing, you feel amazing afterwards!
What’s your signature dish?
I always make the same thing for lunch when I’m at home; Quinoa, Kale, Baby Plum Tomatoes, Chilli, Garlic, Shallots with a bit of feta and basil.
Do you make goals and how do you go about achieving them, do you have any specific goals your working towards at the moment?
I am always setting myself goals and targets, whether it’s a work goal I am trying to achieve or a fitness/lifestyle change I am making….I am someone who is always striving for perfection!
And finally, when are you at your most happiest?
I love spending time in LA. Malibu has some gorgeous beaches and it is great to go hiking there to clear the mind.
