I was lucky enough to be invited to an exclusive event in the week by Birchbox UK at Lululemon in Covent Garden. For those who don’t know, Birchbox UK is a monthly beauty and lifestyle delivery service helping you try out the best products and find the ones you love, you can then go on to buy the full sized product from the eshop at www.birchbox.co.uk. When you subscribe “each month you’ll receive 5 luxe samples, carefully selected and tailored to your beauty profile.”
Each month the beauty and lifestyle box has a theme and this January the theme was ‘Tiny Tweaks’. Tuesday evenings event was all about celebrating this box with yoga, healthy snacks, Lululemon active gear, like minded lifestyle bloggers and the gorgeous Birchbox ‘crush of the month’, Celest Pereira.
We started the evening with a lovely flowing half hour yoga class taught by Celest, who teaches with such enthusiasm that you can’t help but not be present. Which is something that I am so eager to do during a yoga class. Celest glittered her class with such words of wisdom about wellbeing, breathing and life at the same time as giving precise instruction about the poses and cuing individuals throughout, as well as giving positive praise. Celest is a true gem of a yoga teacher and it is worth getting yourself to her classes in London when you can. I sure will be. You can learn more about Celest here.
As you can see our yoga mats each had a Birchbox on them and after the class we eagerly unwrapped them discovering five perfect little products. I will do a separate blog post about these products once I’ve tried them all out, so make sure you pop back to see that. I was so grateful to be given a box, but there’s also an exclusive offer for you guys. If you quote BBX2014 you will receive a January box plus an extra box for a friend. Just go on there website and click sign up!
We then had a Q&A with Celest and she told us her inspiring story about the journey to improving her skin and health. It was a blood analysis test that showed her the truth that ‘you really are what you eat’. Celest then done a juice cleanse to alkalize her blood and went on to do 30 days with no sugar, and she hasn’t looked back since. I am intrigued about juice cleansing and really would love to do one but I do think I’d struggle in London living the busy teaching life I lead. I think it may have to wait for a retreat! Hint hint, exciting times ahead!
The evening ended, and I felt uplifted, calm and inspired to continue my journey to optimum health. Surrounding myself with positive like-minded people has such a huge effect on me and I feel so blessed to have met beautiful like-minded people at this event. Thank you Birchbox for bringing us together. Below are the links to websites and some of the bloggers I met.
