20 Minute Fun No Equipment Holiday Workout

Processed with VSCO with fs4 preset

If you follow me on Instagram you may know that I’m currently on a holiday atm with my best girlies. Emily and I are so used to moving our bodies every day with Pilates and yoga, walking around London teaching and attending classes and we had every intention of starting the day with movement while away. Sometimes too many sangrias and the comfiest beds ever change intentions but something about Monday morning kick started us today.

We are well and truly into Summer now as the school holidays are here. Whether you’re a working mum, studying or don’t even have a clue the kids are on that 6 week break thing again; change is sometimes just as good as a rest so why not change up your fitness routine and try some Pilates this week. I’ve teamed up with Primark to bring you a Summer Pilates routine for the ultimate full body workout…

My Top 8 Coffee and Laptop Spots in London (and they do oat milk!)

coffee shops london blogger

If you follow my Instagram stories you’ll know that my life is very on the go and during the week I could be teaching clients, teaching at press events, attending launches, meetings, working out, catching up with friends etc; so I tend to work from coffee shops for a few hours at a time. Over the years I’ve potentially got a bit picky with my coffee and freelance life has enabled me to find my little wifi spots to hang out and get cosy with my laptop. My environment is key when I’m working whether it’s smashing through emails, writing a blog post or organising my retreats, I like to be around a buzz of creative people all working on their own projects. I rarely work from home but when I do I’m way less productive and the coffee isn’t so good. You’d be surprised who you get chatting to working this way too. I’m usually in Central London between Fitzrovia, Covent Garden and The City. I’ve rounded up 8 of my fave places to hang out, enjoy some granola or avo on toast and a cup of coffee (don’t forget the oat milk) and get my laptop out! You won’t feel uncomfortable either as I guarantee the person next to you will have there’s out too…

My NEW Fave Go To Natural Skincare Brand | Balance Me Beauty

balance me natural skincare lottie murphy

I’ve had a skincare routine for as long as I can remember from seeing my Nan and Mum apply there creams and smelling wonderful every night as a little girl. Perhaps that’s why I’m so dedicated to my skincare and find it such a comforting part of my day. My bathroom is full of products, balms, serums, exfoliators, cleansers, sprays, masks, oils and I love trying new ones (so much for clutter free bathroom drawers.) However I know my skin is quite sensitive so I tend to always go back to my faves that I use consistency but this year I have discovered a new natural brand that is taking over my bathroom…

Create Your Own Honest Garden Pilates Sanctuary

Last week I was lucky enough to teach perhaps one of my favourite classes to date as a Pilates Instructor. It was at The Honest Garden which was a little pop up on the Southbank for Honest Tea which are a super yummy organic cold tea brand. They have launched three new flavours including my favourite lemon and honey (I mix it with spirulina at home which is so much nicer than water.) It was one of the most beautiful days in London last Friday, blue skies, a speckle of clouds, very warm, a light breeze and all at 7am!! It wasn’t cold at all! We overlooked the Thames and St Paul’s and got down to practice on our mats.

A WEEKLY VLOG | London Life, What Matters To You and Vegan Cheese!

The true secret of happiness lies in taking genuine interest in all the details of daily life. I’ve always wondered why I enjoy watching vlogs, filming my little vlogs and editing them so much and I think that quote sums it up. I admit I love watching my faves on youtube go about their daily lives, seeing what they eat and just pottering around really. Some of my faves include Louise Roe, Niomi Smart, The Anna Edit, Carly Rowena and Venetia Falconer. It’s actually quite lovely that we can find such interest in the details of our daily lives. So without further a do, I was inspired to vlog again. This week involved lots of lovely Pilates classes, teaching a press event for the Sainsburys My Hair Matters launch, lots of sunshine, a trip to the theatre, a girly sleepover and what’s in my cupboards…

With Pilates Comes Connection and Truth…AND your Summer Body

I fell in love with Pilates as a 16 year old ballet dancer at Central School of Ballet, we’d have an hour ballet class every week but I loved how it made me feel so much that I did my own hour practice before a 6-8 hour day of training and rehearsing. I wasn’t a natural ballerina, I didn’t have a high arched foot or natural turnout but what I did have was discipline and passion and I worked my butt off. I honestly believe with these things and a little bit of self belief you can achieve anything you want and I did that, I got some great roles and even won the Ballet Central cup at the end of my third year but it came at a cost for me and I wasn’t truly happy…

Step Outside Your Fitness Box

Processed with VSCO with a6 preset

I feel like in the fitness world, you have to be a either a weights person or a runner or a yogi or a Pilates girl etc but why can’t we be all of them. Fitness isn’t my everything, I danced and moved my body from the age of 4 and then at 16 when my friends started going to the gym and using the cross trainer, I found it a bit odd that you’d have to go and dedicate time out of your day to “workout” because I just did something I love which was dance but I never saw that as fitness.
