We are well and truly into Summer now as the school holidays are here. Whether you’re a working mum, studying or don’t even have a clue the kids are on that 6 week break thing again; change is sometimes just as good as a rest so why not change up your fitness routine and try some Pilates this week. I’ve teamed up with Primark to bring you a Summer Pilates routine for the ultimate full body workout…

My NEW Fave Go To Natural Skincare Brand | Balance Me Beauty

I’ve had a skincare routine for as long as I can remember from seeing my Nan and Mum apply there creams and smelling wonderful every night as a little girl. Perhaps that’s why I’m so dedicated to my skincare and find it such a comforting part of my day. My bathroom is full of products, balms, serums, exfoliators, cleansers, sprays, masks, oils and I love trying new ones (so much for clutter free bathroom drawers.) However I know my skin is quite sensitive so I tend to always go back to my faves that I use consistency but this year I have discovered a new natural brand that is taking over my bathroom…

Create Your Own Honest Garden Pilates Sanctuary

Last week I was lucky enough to teach perhaps one of my favourite classes to date as a Pilates Instructor. It was at The Honest Garden which was a little pop up on the Southbank for Honest Tea which are a super yummy organic cold tea brand. They have launched three new flavours including my favourite lemon and honey (I mix it with spirulina at home which is so much nicer than water.) It was one of the most beautiful days in London last Friday, blue skies, a speckle of clouds, very warm, a light breeze and all at 7am!! It wasn’t cold at all! We overlooked the Thames and St Paul’s and got down to practice on our mats.

A WEEKLY VLOG | London Life, What Matters To You and Vegan Cheese!

The true secret of happiness lies in taking genuine interest in all the details of daily life. I’ve always wondered why I enjoy watching vlogs, filming my little vlogs and editing them so much and I think that quote sums it up. I admit I love watching my faves on youtube go about their daily lives, seeing what they eat and just pottering around really. Some of my faves include Louise Roe, Niomi Smart, The Anna Edit, Carly Rowena and Venetia Falconer. It’s actually quite lovely that we can find such interest in the details of our daily lives. So without further a do, I was inspired to vlog again. This week involved lots of lovely Pilates classes, teaching a press event for the Sainsburys My Hair Matters launch, lots of sunshine, a trip to the theatre, a girly sleepover and what’s in my cupboards…

Live The Retreat Way Every Day

lottie murphy retreat

Retreat life is all about stepping away from everyday stresses and immersing yourself in the ultimate self care routine from waking up to going to sleep. I might only grab time for a 45 minute Pilates session, a quick smoothie catch up with a friend or a 5 minute cleanse tone and moisturise in the evening during my day to day life but on retreat, well my retreats anyway, we completely soak up every opportunity to take care of ourselves and the schedule is basically like my perfect day from start to finish. From how we move, what we eat and everything in between so I thought I’d give you a little insight into a day in the life of my most recent retreat with Our Retreat and who’s to stop you incorporating some things into your every day life or at least once a week, you can make any day a retreat day…

Don’t Waste Another Moment

lottie murphy dont waste another moment blog post

When a chapter of your life ends, don’t be sad because it’s over, be happy because without that chapter, you wouldn’t have a story to tell.

Someone once told me that something wasn’t meant for me but that I should hold on because I was someone that had to be sure and ready and wait for the right time. This felt like the most unloving thing I could possibly do so I ignored them. I didn’t wait a moment longer.

Why waste another moment of this life…

Five Of The Best Meals I’ve Had In My Life So Far

I love eating out and trying new restaurants. I get excited over a menu, the interior design, and it’s also one of my favourite things about living in London and travelling. For me, there’s nothing better than enjoying an incredible dish whether it’s alone, with friends, at home, at a restaurant with wine for 4 hours or a bite of something delicious at a street food festival. I thought I’d share five of the best meals out I’ve ever had with you, these are the ones that made me excited, speechless and remember for life…

With Pilates Comes Connection and Truth…AND your Summer Body

I fell in love with Pilates as a 16 year old ballet dancer at Central School of Ballet, we’d have an hour ballet class every week but I loved how it made me feel so much that I did my own hour practice before a 6-8 hour day of training and rehearsing. I wasn’t a natural ballerina, I didn’t have a high arched foot or natural turnout but what I did have was discipline and passion and I worked my butt off. I honestly believe with these things and a little bit of self belief you can achieve anything you want and I did that, I got some great roles and even won the Ballet Central cup at the end of my third year but it came at a cost for me and I wasn’t truly happy…

The Wonderful Little Things That Help Run Our World

Okay did you know that if the bee’s disappear then a third of our food does too including most of our delicious fruit and vegetables. And the bee’s ARE disappearing. This wasn’t really something I’d given thought to until recently when Burt’s Bee’s invited me to Nicky from the British Bee Keepers Association hive in Oxfordshire to find out more and experience a little bit of beekeeping myself. After a beautiful sunny morning, drinking tea and learning all about the bee’s, the wildflowers and the story behind Burt’s Bee’s products, I returned home armed with my own delicious jar of honey, a new desire to plant wildflowers in my garden and was buzzing (excuse the pun) to share what I learnt with you so we can all do our little bit to save the bee’s, their pretty badass FYI…
