I fell in love with Pilates as a 16 year old ballet dancer at Central School of Ballet, we’d have an hour ballet class every week but I loved how it made me feel so much that I did my own hour practice before a 6-8 hour day of training and rehearsing. I wasn’t a natural ballerina, I didn’t have a high arched foot or natural turnout but what I did have was discipline and passion and I worked my butt off. My clients still say to me all the time how much better they feel after their sessions and it’s that feeling that you sometimes can’t even describe, you just feel lovely in your body and mind after a Pilates class. I try to encourage my clients to do a little Pilates routine every day as a little a day keeps the pains away (hehe); it also sets me up for a fabulous day ahead.
